The secret of stunning flower arrangements is to use less to gain maximum impact, by setting odd numbers of stems of varying lengths to gain a simple elegance. The kenzans also open cauterised stems to allow the plant to take water and extend their display as they open and develop a full show. The types of flowers that can be displayed by this method are almost limitless, including many that can’t stand in a vase without massing or wiring.
